Well, we did it. The EGM vote on April 5th at 8pm secured the votes we needed to turn Villa into a Community Benefit Society (CBS).
This means ANYONE can now become a member and own a share in the club and have their say on how the club is run.
The board feels that this is the right move forward in order to secure Villa's future and to lay the foundations for where we want to be in the next five years - and beyond. We have a very ambitious plan to move up the football pyramid as well as connecting more with the local community and harnessing playing at the highest level possible with supporting people from the surrounding areas of Falmer, including Bevendean, Stanmer and Moulsecoomb.
