Montpelier Villa FC were formed as a men’s team playing in the Brighton Hove & District Division 6 in 1991. The team quickly moved up the leagues and won several titles, cups and trophies along the way and now have many successful teams from u6 up to veterans - and many in-between!

We have a philosophy, style of play and blueprint at Montpelier Villa that has been developed over the years. We call our footballing philosophy ‘The Villa Way’ and it has been developed at the four stages of youth development which then blends into the senior football teams creating a clear pathway for teams and individuals.​
Our girls and women’s operation is growing all the time too. We have a strong women’s team who play in the Sussex women and girls league and four new Junior Premier League teams for the 2025-26 season, along with a grassroots girls side.
